Symposium Introduction：

 International LAB Innovation Symposium (ILIS)‌ launched in 2024, aims to advance global laboratory technology innovation and development, to foster communication on technical standards and industry collaboration, and to build a smart laboratory innovation ecosystem. The inaugural ILIS was successfully held in Shenzhen, China, from June 22 to 23, 2024, jointly organized by ISO/TC 336 “Laboratory Design” Secretariat and Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province.The event gathered international experts and featured participation from two international organizations: United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)and ‌International Organization for Standardization (ISO)‌‌. Speakers and delegates represented 11 countries, including China, France, Switzerland, the UK, Uganda, Brazil, Egypt, Russia, Australia, the Netherlands, and Germany‌. Over ‌500 attendees‌ from domestic universities, research institutes, national and provincial laboratories, testing institutions, instrument manufacturers, and laboratory construction companies participated in the symposium.‌

‌"Shaping the Future" ILIS 2025‌‌ will convene four major international organizations: United Nations Resident Coordinator's Office（UNRCO）、United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)、United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)、ISO Central Secretariat (ISO/CS). Three UN agencies will host dedicated sub-forums, while experts from ‌15 countries‌ (including China, France, Switzerland, the UK, Uganda, Brazil, Egypt, Russia, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, India, Japan, Armenia, and Saudi Arabia) will deliver keynote speeches on cutting-edge technologies and national priorities。‌ILIS 2025‌ will be a ‌higher-level, broader-scoped, and larger-scale event‌.‌
