Introduction
ARABLAB LIVE, established in 1984, is the Middle East's longest-running and largest exhibition for the laboratory and analytical industries. Having successfully hosted 43 editions, the 44th edition will take place in 2026. The exhibition aims to encourage knowledge exchange and showcase the latest technologies, attracting trade visitors, laboratory managers, and quality control stakeholders from all process industries requiring laboratory equipment.
ARABLAB LIVE provides a specialised trade platform for sectors including laboratory technology, biotechnology and life sciences, high-tech automated laboratories, and data processing. Exhibitors showcase their latest technologies and achievements annually, while decision-makers and end-buyers from numerous international enterprises utilise the event to source products and conduct business negotiations. This exhibition stands as Dubai's most meticulously prepared and comprehensively equipped professional trade fair to date. Renowned within the industry as Dubai's sole dedicated exhibition for laboratory and laboratory instrumentation supplies, it enjoys an excellent reputation. The event is listed as a globally recommended exhibition by the Scientific Equipment and Furniture Association (SEFA).
ARABLAB LIVE 2026 will showcase laboratory solutions from leading global brands. The organisers will invite laboratory leaders across sectors including chemicals and petrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, clinical diagnostics, environmental monitoring, food and beverages, FMCG, water, contract laboratories, mining, education, forensics, laboratory design, materials testing, nanotechnology, quality control, and R&D.
ARABLAB LIVE 2026 will feature an expanded International Pavilion alongside new dedicated zones: ArabLife (Life Sciences, Environment, Food Safety and Healthcare), Digital Labs, Industrial Labs and Lab Innovation. These areas aim to showcase industries driving future investment while creating centralised meeting points for buyers and sellers.

Marketing Background:
The United Arab Emirates is a wealthy oil-exporting nation in the Middle East, boasting a per capita gross national income of US$30,000. However, its economy exhibits a singular structure, heavily reliant on imported goods, particularly laboratory analytical equipment, which is almost entirely sourced from abroad. Furthermore, it adheres to a free trade policy, whereby the government refrains from intervening in, restricting, or protecting import-export activities, permitting the free movement of goods across its borders. The nation imposes no restrictions on foreign exchange receipts and payments, permitting free currency conversion and circulation. Transshipment trade is taxed at 1%, with goods re-exported to other regions within six months exempt from duty. Dubai, the Middle East's largest trade hub and transshipment centre, boasts a strategically advantageous location with extensive market reach. Consequently, it is hailed as the ‘world's largest free zone’ and the ‘Hong Kong of the Middle East’.
Over the past decade, beyond its stable demand for scientific instruments, this market has consistently served as a low-risk springboard for Chinese merchants entering global markets. Its appeal stems not only from its extensive market reach but also from advantageous policies such as: low tariffs, with most goods subject to approximately 5% duty" – making it the premier choice for Chinese entrepreneurs seeking to develop markets and secure overseas agents.
In the Middle East, substantial government investment in R&D and related projects has created significant opportunities for bioengineering, laboratory instruments, and analytical testing equipment. The rapid expansion of research organisations in recent years has driven substantial upgrades in laboratory construction and refurbishment, alongside clinical research facilities. This has effectively propelled key development initiatives in petrochemicals, environmental health, education, and corporate sectors.
